Welcome to The Hard Malt. My name's Tim and I'm a whisky addict! Now we've got that out of the way, I've been on my journey through the world of malt whisky for around 10 years now. But I by no means consider myself a whisky expert, more of a whisky explorer perse.

Distilleries are always opening, closing, changing and experimenting with different casks. With "The Hard Malt" site and YouTube channel I'm aiming to share my thoughts on new releases, unusual finds, all time favourites and the odd boilermaker pairing too.
